Gift baskets have a never ending possibility. They can be specialized precisely to fit that special person/recipient and they show you put thought into who that person is and makes a really special gift for ANY occassion!!

 

THEMED gift baskets:

1. How about a hobby basket... (filling it with stuff for hobbies... fishing, hunting, golf, sewing, etc)

3. For a "romantic" getaway basket, try some massage oils, "adult" games or cards, edible... well you get the idea

4. If they are into cooking, grilling, etc... give a food themed basket (filled with BBQ stuff for your outdoor cook, gourmet spices for your "chef", etc.)

5. For your spouse, an anniversary basket of things to remember the years, have some copies of pictures of you through the years with something "representing" each year or special event... like if the first year you and he went to disneyland, give him a picture of that and maybe a stuffed mickey mouse or something...)

 

6. Baby shower basket: Fill the basket with things the mom-to-be is going to need... from travel size wipes, finger nail clippers, diaper cream, crib sheets, burp clothes, bottles, pacifiers, onesies, etc...

 

BATH IN A BAG:

OK you have heard of bed in a bag, where you get everything... comforter, sheets, etc... so make a BATH in a BAG! Buy or make a simple card and enclose some LOVE coupons... once again the possibilities are endless, all you need is a little bit of imagination! Here are a few ideas:

 

FOR YOUR SPOUSE/SIGNIFICANT OTHER: "This coupon entitles you to a romantic dinner, followed by a movie and a romantic walk on the beach. This coupon is redeemable at any time, it makes me stop what I am doing and focus all my attention on you!" (You can also get a little "adulty" if you want a little more riske meaning! (wink wink))

 

FOR THE NEW MOM: Give a coupon for a free night of babysitting, a day of shopping alone, etc...

FOR THE CHILD: Give FREE chores coupons, or outing coupons, etc... they will think they are just SOOOO special! LOL

 

Find a jar, reuse a jar, whatever... Decorate it with paint, stickers, fabric, etc and fill it with mixes that are ready to use... cookie mixes, soups, flavored rices, etc... I will be putting some "Jar Gift" recipes on my recipe page, so check it out!
