What does F.A.A.P. do? Well, F.A.A.P. is just like it says... Families receive assistance with the necessities of life until they are adopted by a sponser family. F.A.A.P. matches needy/low income families who cannot make ends meet to a sponser family to help them until they get back on thier feet. F.A.A.P. helps the families apply for state and federal aid, gives them valuable resources for finding gainful employment, and helps with the necessities until a sponser family can be matched. F.A.A.P. helps to provide handmade clothing, food, household goods, gifts during the holidays, etc. to each family who fills out the application and qualifies for assistance. Once the family exceeds the qualifications for the program, they are "let loose" into their new productive lives, at which time a spot opens for another needy family. F.A.A.P. also mails in a set of rebates for each household, providing them with a little bit of "petty cash" for things they might need or want.

 

I currently have 14 families on my F.A.A.P. roster, and have had up to 22 at one time. I have gotten very close to many of these families and the gratitude that they show is very heartwarming and appreciated. I hope that I can continue to do this for many many years to come.
